This golden-brown spice has a sweet, warm flavor that is similar to—but stronger than—nutmeg. Described as a combination of cinnamon and pepper, it makes a great addition to many dishes. Can be used in spice blends for flavoring stews, curries, savory sauces, homemade pickles, and baked goods.
Transfer the Mace in an air-tight container and store it in a cool and dry place at regular room temperatures. However, make sure that there is no direct contact with sunlight. Mace should not be exposed to extreme cold or heat conditions.
