Ridge gourd (Turai/Turiya) is a beloved vegetable in India. Its hard skin is peeled off and chopped and cooked as desired. Its ability to absorb and hold flavour from the condiments it is cooked with is exceptional.
1 kg of ridge gourd contains approximately 5 to 7 pieces. However, the size and weight of the organic produce coming from the farm may vary slightly.
Keep the ridge gourd in a cotton bag or a muslin cloth and store them in the vegetable drawer of the refrigerator.
